The Peninsula London is putting art in motion during Frieze London with ‘A World Within,’ a new six-car installation by the artist KOZO, curated by CART Department.
Throughout October, The Peninsula London’s signature green fleet will move through the city transformed into a continuous artwork spanning Rolls-Royce, Bentley, BMW and London taxis.
Known for his highly detailed compositions, KOZO approached each vehicle as part of a larger world. Portions of the cars appear to peel away, revealing surreal British landscapes filled with wildlife, stately homes, dense foliage and architectural references, alongside smaller details tied to The Peninsula itself.
Rather than treating each vehicle as an individual canvas, ‘A World Within’ connects all six through a shared visual language. Repeated forms and motifs move across the fleet, turning it into a mobile installation whose composition shifts depending on where and how it is encountered. That movement is central to the project. Instead of remaining fixed inside a gallery, the work becomes part of London’s daily rhythm, appearing on the street, moving through traffic and circulating throughout Frieze week.

For CART Department founder Larry Warsh, The Peninsula was a natural fit because of its longstanding automotive heritage and fleet of bespoke luxury vehicles. Curated by CART Department, the project extends the platform’s ongoing exploration of the automobile as a space where art, design and culture intersect.
‘A World Within’ will remain on the streets of London throughout October, with two special programs taking place at The Peninsula London during Frieze week. Check it out below.
